Samsung HDTV plug into av2 source option greyed out

I have tried plugging in an xbox 360 and a dvd player into the av2 ports on the side of my Samsung. Both of these devices work in other tv's and have worked in this tv in the past.
When I go to source all options are greyed out except the normal HDMI1 mode which is for regular tv. I cannot choose AV2 or HDMI2 like I do on my other Samsung.
Yes, I have the yellow, white and red cables plugged in the right color - and both devices are plugged in and on.
Please help! Thanks

Actually av2 is coming up but is saying weak or no signal on the tv screen. Please help if this has happened to you and you know how to fix it!

malibu23,

What are you trying to plug into the television? Also, what is the resolution of the device sending the signal to the television?

For instance, some game consoles may (by default) send a 480 resolution, while others may send a 720p or higher resolution. Check to make sure that the resolution for a composite (yellow, red, white) connection is set at 480i or 480p resolution.

I am just plugging in a dvd player and xbox 360 that have both been plugged into this device in the past..I looked on the device and I dont see an option or anything about resolution. These have always worked as plug and play in the past. Obviously something is wrong with the tv, I guess I'll call a tech to come over. Thanks
